Fremont’s annual 4th of July parade is almost here. This event aims to bring the community together on Independence Day. The 2024 theme, “Peace, Love, and Fremont”, showcases the city’s goal for unity.
The parade will start on Thursday, July 4, 2024, from 10,00 AM to 12,00 PM in Downtown Fremont. It will commence at Stevenson Blvd., near the Fremont Main Library, go down Paseo Padre Parkway, and end on Capitol Avenue at the Downtown Event Center.
Guidelines And Safety Measures
The Fremont Police Department has provided some guidelines that ensure both safety and fun,
- Bags, Participants are requested not to bring large bags or backpacks. All bags may be inspected.
- Aerial drones, Drones will not be permitted either over the parade route or within the event venue.
- Elect Entries Only, only official participants having credentials are allowed to enter designated areas along the parade route.
Post Parade Festivities
Once the parade wraps up, an after party starts at Downtown Event Center & Plaza located at 3500 Capitol Ave from 11,00 AM till 1,30 PM. Hosted by TriCity Nonprofit Coalition, this family friendly event is free for all offering a great way to spend your afternoon.

Independence Day celebrations are not limited to Fremont. There’s a variety of events happening across the San Francisco Bay Area,
- In Alameda, celebrate on board the USS Hornet with free tours, music, and a BBQ at 10,00 AM,
- The city of Albany organizes “4th of July in the Park” at Memorial Park from11,00 AM to 3,00 PM. Enjoy food, bands, and more,
- Antioch’s Independence Day festivities start at 4,00 PM with a parade which is followed by other activities at Waldie Plaza and City Hall. End your day watching stunning fireworks after dusk,
- In Concord, partake in an all-day celebration inclusive of fun run for kids starting at 8,00 AM, parade at 10,00AM and end your day with fireworks display at Mt. Diablo High School from9,30 PM,
- For Foster City residents or visitors, the fun begins from 9,00 AM to go till 9,45 PM Leo J. Ryan Park offering games, food as well as entertainment all day long ending up with fantastic fireworks display from San Francisco that lights up Fishermen’s Wharf breathtakingly sharp at 9,30 PM.
